Terms of use for Quodaris accounts

1. Who these terms are for

Quodaris is a supplier directory for businesses. Searching, filtering, and reading listings work without an account. You only need an account to save lists of suppliers.
Accounts are for business use only. By registering you confirm that you are acting for a company or another professional organisation, and not as a private individual. We do not accept registrations with free webmail addresses.

2. What the account gives you

You can create, edit, and delete lists of suppliers, and access them from any device. The service is free of charge. We may add or change features.

3. What we will never do with your data

This is the point of Quodaris, so we put it in writing:

We never tell a listed company that you looked at their profile.
We never tell a listed company that you saved them to a list.
We never sell, rent, or share your saved lists, your searches, or your browsing behaviour with listed companies or anyone else.
We do not sell leads. Our only source of revenue is the subscription fee paid by listed companies.

We use your email address to run your account: to let you sign in, to reset your password, and to keep your saved lists available. We do not use it for anything else unless you separately ask us to.

4. Your responsibilities

Keep your login details to yourself. Tell us if you think someone else has access to your account.

5. What you may not do

You may use Quodaris to research suppliers. You may not:

use automated means to read, copy, or download listings, including crawling, scraping, or bulk extraction
copy, reuse, or republish a substantial part of the directory, whether by volume or by value. The directory is protected as a database under sections 87a and following of the German Copyright Act
use contact details from the directory to send unsolicited advertising
resell or make the directory available to third parties
interfere with the technical operation of the service.

6. Availability

We aim to keep the service running, but because it is free of charge we do not promise any particular level of availability. We may change, interrupt, or discontinue it.

7. Closing your account

You can delete your account at any time in your account settings. Deletion takes effect immediately and removes your saved lists. Copies may remain in our backups until those backups are rotated out, normally within 7 days. We may close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. We will tell you why.

8. Liability

We are fully liable for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body, or health, under the German Product Liability Act, and where we have given a guarantee. Otherwise, because this service is free of charge, we are liable only where we have breached a material obligation, and then only for foreseeable damage typical for this kind of service. Listings describe companies, not their suitability for your purposes. We check listings with care but do not warrant that the information is complete, accurate, or up to date. Deciding whether a supplier is right for you remains your decision.

9. Changes to these terms

We will tell you about significant changes by email at least 30 days before they take effect. If you do not agree, you can delete your account.

10. Law and language

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The English version of these terms is the binding one; any translation is provided for convenience.
