Capability Profile for suppliers

Be in the filters where buyers build their shortlist.

Engineers and buyers draw up their shortlist before they contact anyone. A Capability Profile works for you at exactly that stage: buyers find you by what you can do, “Visit website” takes them straight to your own pages, and your profile prints as a fact sheet for their whole team.

Directories are where buyers start looking for someone new.

48 %

of buyers searching for a new supplier say they use supplier directories. That puts directories ahead of search engines, at 47 %. Among companies with 250 employees or more, it is 59 %.

ECC KÖLN with dotSource, “Von Katalogen zu Klicks”, March 2024, n = 284 buyers in manufacturing companies who search for new suppliers.

Quodaris is new, and we say so up front. What we can tell you is exactly what your profile does here from the day it goes live.

Three things your profile does from day one

They come from how Quodaris is built, so they work from the moment your profile goes live, on a quiet day as much as on a busy one.

Found for what you can do

A buyer ticks three boxes: CNC turning, ISO 13485, delivery to Portugal. Fill in what your company really does, and you are in the results when the boxes match.

The capability filters search Capability Profiles only, and in every result list these come before free profiles. How results are ranked

Sent on to your own website

Buyers check a new supplier on its own website, so “Visit website” is the main button on every Quodaris profile: straight to your pages, your references, your people. Anyone who would rather write first gets a contact form to the address you choose.

The button is on every level, free or paid. The Capability Profile adds the details that answer a buyer’s first questions, and the contact form.

Passed round the buying team

In Germany, the average buying group grew from nine people to eleven in a year. Your profile prints as a supplier fact sheet, with your logo, certificates, delivery countries and a QR code back to your profile. It is made for the meeting you are not in.

Every profile prints. The sheet shows what the profile shows, so the full fact sheet comes with the Capability Profile.

Easy for search engines and AI assistants to read.

Three out of four buyers rate AI-assisted supplier search and verification as relevant. Those systems can only repeat what they are able to read and check, so your profile gives them exactly that.

  • Company data in structured form. Your VAT ID checked against VIES, your DUNS and NACE codes, your capabilities and the countries you serve, each as its own field a machine can read. Certifications stay visible text, marked as your own declaration.
  • Answers in full sentences. Your FAQ block puts real buyer questions as headings and answers them in complete sentences. That is the format a machine can quote as it stands.
  • A second trustworthy result for your name. Your profile is its own indexable page. It can rank for your company name, so a search for “your company + supplier” can bring up a neutral, structured profile next to your own website.
  • Clean links, deliberately. Google requires paid links to be marked as sponsored, and the link to your website carries exactly that label. It keeps your domain and ours on the safe side, so ranking links are not for sale here at any price.

ECC KÖLN with dotSource, “Von Katalogen zu Klicks”, March 2024: 74 % of respondents rate “search and verification of suppliers” as a relevant use of AI in procurement.

Buyers search here freely, and that is why they come.

They search, filter and read the whole directory without signing up. What they look at stays between them and us: no listed company is ever told who viewed its profile, whatever it pays and whoever asks.

That is the audience you are paying to reach. We never sell your interest, and we never sell theirs.

Why Quodaris is built this way, and who built it, is on the about page.

Fifteen minutes, once.

We prepare your profile from public sources before you claim it. You check what we found, correct what is wrong, and add what only you know. After that, we ask you once a year whether anything has changed.

Questions we get asked

How many buyers actually use this?

Two answers, and both belong here. The industry answer is at the top of this page: 48 % of buyers looking for a new supplier use directories, ahead of search engines.

The Quodaris answer is shorter: we are new. We say that openly, and it is the reason the first 50 companies pay a lower price.

We are already listed in three directories and it does not help.

That is exactly the point. Those directories sell the enquiries that come in. We sell visibility in the phase before the first contact, and the main button on your profile sends buyers on to your own website. Two different products, and only one of them puts a price on someone else’s curiosity.

2,400 € for a listing?

It is a fair question, so here is the honest comparison: a trade magazine ad runs once, your profile runs for twelve months and is searchable the whole time. What you pay for is a place where shortlists are made: buyers find you by what you can do, go straight on to your own website, and can take your fact sheet into their next meeting.

What happens if we cancel?

Your profile stays visible until the end of the term you paid for. After that it becomes the free listing again. Nothing is deleted, and if you come back, your data is still there.

Do we get a backlink?

You get a link to your website as the main button on your profile. It carries the sponsored and nofollow labels that Google asks for on paid links, so it passes no ranking signals. That is deliberate: directories that sell ranking links put both domains at risk. What you get on top is your own indexable profile page: it can rank for your company name, and it gives search engines and AI assistants structured information about you.

Can we test it first?

Yes, free of charge: claim your profile, look at it, decide. There is no paid trial period, because we verify every listing owner before the profile goes live.

Who guarantees that the data is correct?

We verify ownership through your company domain. Capabilities and certifications are your own declaration and are marked as such on the profile. That is more honest than any trust seal.

A free profile shows who you are. The Capability Profile shows why buyers should shortlist you.

Find your company, check what we have already put together, and take control of it. Upgrading is a decision you can make afterwards.
